SUMMARY:Awards Night Banquet
DESCRIPTION:The St. Louis branch of the American Chemical Society would like to recognize the work of our exemplary high school Chemistry Olympians\, our High School Teacher of the Year\, and the winner of the Chemical Technology Award.  \nWe will host an awards banquet to celebrate\, Tuesday\, April 21st\, at 6:30 PM at Favazza’s on the Hill (5201 Southwest Avenue\, St. Louis MO 63139. Students and mentoring faculty will be hosted to a complimentary dinner at which the awards will be presented. Additional dinners are available for $38 to allow family and friends to share in the event. This can be paid via PayPal before the event (use email STLACStreas@gmail.com) or via alternate arrangements if necessary. Please confirm any necessary special diet options with Favazza’s in advance. An option to attend the award ceremony only\, also exists. We anticipate this will begin at approximately 7:15 PM.  \nFor those attending the event\, please RSVP Elizabeth Bergman at etsbergman@gmail.com with the subject title: St. Louis ACS Awards Night. In the email please state the student name\, school\, and attendees in addition to the student. If you have folks in your party unable to attend the dinner\, but can attend the award ceremony\, please make a note and we will ensure there are chairs prepared for them.

SUMMARY:2026 ACS St. Louis Recognition Night
DESCRIPTION:The St. Louis Section of the American Chemical Society is pleased to invite members and friends to Recognition Night 2026\, an annual celebration honoring service\, leadership\, and outstanding contributions to chemistry and the local scientific community. \nThe event will be held on Wednesday\, May 20\, 2026\, at Glen Echo Country Club in Glendale\, Missouri. The evening will begin with networking at 6:00 PM\, followed by dinner and the awards program at 6:30 PM. \nRecognition Night will honor past chairs of the St. Louis Section\, members commemorating milestone years of service\, and recipients of section awards recognizing excellence and impact. The program will feature formal remarks and award presentation to 2026 Chemical Technology Award Winner\, followed by closing reflections from section leadership. \nDinner will include a Glen Echo buffet with Mahi‑Mahi or Seared Sirloin\, accompanied by chef‑selected sides\, assorted desserts\, and coffee\, tea\, and water. A vegetarian option will be available upon request. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Milestone year service honorees and award winners will be hosted to a complimentary dinner.
