DESCRIPTION:• Elementary (K-5) Participation Awards distributed to chemistry-related projects.  Three people needed for about 1 hour each between 3 pm and 8 pm. No judging involved.\n• Secondary  (6-12) judging of chemistry-related projects 3-8:30 pm (Please come for at least 2.5 hours)  Secondary judges must be present at 8:30 pm to pick winners. DESCRIPTION:Attention\, all regional high school chemistry teachers! \nThis is an opportunity to introduce your students to careers in chemistry and biochemistry and let them witness activities in those areas. The event begins with a brief “Just What is Chemistry” talk about traditional and nontraditional career paths. Tours of research laboratories and instrument facilities\, and Chemistry Demonstrations (by the UM–St Louis Chemistry Club) will conclude the informational portion of the day.  Lunch (pizza\, etc.) starting at about 11:30 a.m. will wrap up the event. \nPlease respond by Friday\, April 25\, to Michelle Haley by phone at (314) 516-5311 or by e-mail at haleym@umsl.edu. Let us know how many students you will be bringing and how we can contact you by email. \nComplete details are included in the invitation letter.
