The St Louis Section Younger Chemists Committee is sponsoring a talk on Investigating Career Paths in Chemistry featuring our career resources coordinator, Lisa Balbes. Lisa is much more than a local resource. She has been very active in career services at the national ACS level, and literally wrote the book on Non-traditional Careers for Chemists.

And when we say “literally wrote the book,” we should point out that we are not wont to use the word “literally” to mean “figuratively.”

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13th, 6–8 pm, on the Washington University Danforth Campus. The room hasn’t been specified yet. Tabbetha Bohac, YCC Chair, has requested RSVP from those planning to attend. If you do that, Tabbetha will have a way to give you last-minute details.

Did we mention … free food (as if you needed that to sweeten the pot, right?)?

If you have colleagues who might be interested, please send them the link to the brochure.
